Steven Curtis Chapman: All About Love

Steven Curtis Chapman is one of my favourite Christian Artists alongside Michael W Smith and Amy Grant and a few others. This is a very special album that Steven Curtis Chapman has created since his other albums
are explicitly Christian and they usually challenge other Christians to be truly committed to Jesus Christ with no compromise while at the same time encourage people who have gone through difficult times. A lot of his song were sung from experience while at the same time promoting hope and redemption through Jesus Christ. Steven Curtis Chapman has penned some amazing songs including ''The Great Adventure'', Heaven In The Real World'', ''Dive'', ''Lord Of The Dance'', and many many more. His music is in the style of Country Pop/Rock and some Acoustic.
This particular album portrays a true picture of what marriage between husband and wife should look like.
We live in a culture where love is constantly being abused and used in the wrong way. A lot of soup opera's are filled with so much unfaithfulness, cheating and unforgiveness and so much other sins. There is so much Pornography littering the lives of so many people. We see it on TV, it is portray in movies and a lot of them are disgusting. Today's Pop Stars in the media, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and some of Katy Perry's
earlier stuff, etc are glorifying sexual immorality and constant filth in their lyrics. This is absolutely horrible and I won't put up with it any longer.
The Bible teaches that sex should only be reserved for marriage and never outside of it, and also marriage is a bonding between man and woman. God strictly commands faithfulness and full time commitment in marriage. adultery and homosexuality are strictly forbidden for a reason. I also have a strong conviction that Christians marrying Non Christians is not wise and not encouraged because of the danger of compromise.
This album is absolutely fantastic and it goes in a different direction to his other stuff. Steven Curtis Chapman has moved forward creatively throughout the years and this album is example of this.
There are a couple of cover songs on this album including ''I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)'' which was originally performed by The Proclaimers. I am not familiar with the artist who recorded ''I'll Take Care Of You'' which is also on this album. Steven Curtis Chapman version reminds me of one of the well known films, Sleepless In Seattle.  The music is quite laid back. There are some very upbeat lively songs on this album as well and some mellow laid back songs. There are a couple of songs on this album that have been written in the past.
''I Will Be Here'' which was originally on one of his early albums ''More To This Life. ''When Love Takes You In was originally on ''Declaration'', an album Steven Curtis Chapman recorded before this album that I am reviewing now.
If you would like to know more about Steven Curtis Chapman, I would like to recommend a book that was written by his faithful and committed wife Mary Beth Chapman. It is an awesome book and it is worth a read.
