Carleen Anderson: Soul Providence

If you are into Acid Jazz and Funk Music then I highly recommend this album. Carleen Anderson's Christian Faith shines bright on songs like ''Parting The Waters'' which is featuring Gospel/Soul Powerhouse Jocelyn Brown and ''Salvation Is Free''. Carleen has a very unique voice and it shows on this album.
''Wanna Be Where You Are'' is featuring one of the most talented and innovative songwriters and one of my favorite Mainstream Artists of all time, Paul Weller. He was the very reason I got into Carleen Anderson and they were close friends. If you are a Christian reading this album review and you enjoy listening to Paul Weller, I encourage you to pray for him and that God will bring the right people into his life to help him find God and be saved. There are some other fantastic songs on this album including ''Gotta Believe In The Future'' and ''My Door Is Open. ''Whose Business'' deals with Prejudice that has been in the church. If we are going to reach people for Jesus Christ we have got to learn to set aside our differences and quit judging other people. People are not going to get a glimpse of God if we fail to live in harmony with each other. The World is watching our every move.
Carleen Anderson used to be in a band called The Young Disciples along with Marco Nelson who is friends with Paul Weller. and keyboardist Mick Talbot Who used to be in The Style Council along with Paul Weller. If you like the Young Disciples then I recommend Out Of Eden who have been in The CCM Scene in the 90's.
