Michael W Smith: Change Your World

This Album is a classic and I believe it is one of his best albums. ''Change Your World'' was released in the year 1992 and it is the follow up to one of his amazing albums ''Go West Young Man''.
Michael W Smith started recording music in the first half of the 80's and his 1986 album ''Big Picture'' Is an immense classic and one of his popular albums which contains some very catchy songs with a very strong message.
Change Your World contains some very awesome, upbeat, catchy pop songs that I believe you will be pleased with if you enjoy listening to Prince, Michael Jackson and some early 90's Power Pop. There are some Power Ballads on this album as well. ''One of the singles on this album is ''I Will Be Here For You, and some very awesome songs, Picture Perfect, Love One Another, Color Blind, Cross of Gold, and the remaking of Michael W Smith's classic song ''Friends''.
I quite like the music from the early 90's, and some of the 80's stuff as well. It takes me well back to my childhood and when I was at infant school.
When I was a kid, I was brought up on Simply Red, U2, The Jam, The Style Council, Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, The Christians, Michael Jackson. Seal, M People, Blur, Oasis, The Farm, Inspiral Carpets, The Lightning Seeds, OMD, Simple Minds, A-Ha and some other stuff as well. I was also brought up on UB40, Aswad, Madness, The Specials and some Reggae and Two Tone Ska and some Old School Soul Music as well.
I started listening to Michael W Smith later on in life when I was about 24 years of age.
I don't quite understand why I wasn't brought up on Michael W Smith and Amy Grant. They are fantastic Artists that have been around for a very long time and I would have enjoyed them as a young child. This album is absolutely amazing and it is totally recommended to those who enjoy listening to 90's Music.

Steven Curtis Chapman: All About Love

Steven Curtis Chapman is one of my favourite Christian Artists alongside Michael W Smith and Amy Grant and a few others. This is a very special album that Steven Curtis Chapman has created since his other albums
are explicitly Christian and they usually challenge other Christians to be truly committed to Jesus Christ with no compromise while at the same time encourage people who have gone through difficult times. A lot of his song were sung from experience while at the same time promoting hope and redemption through Jesus Christ. Steven Curtis Chapman has penned some amazing songs including ''The Great Adventure'', Heaven In The Real World'', ''Dive'', ''Lord Of The Dance'', and many many more. His music is in the style of Country Pop/Rock and some Acoustic.
This particular album portrays a true picture of what marriage between husband and wife should look like.
We live in a culture where love is constantly being abused and used in the wrong way. A lot of soup opera's are filled with so much unfaithfulness, cheating and unforgiveness and so much other sins. There is so much Pornography littering the lives of so many people. We see it on TV, it is portray in movies and a lot of them are disgusting. Today's Pop Stars in the media, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and some of Katy Perry's
earlier stuff, etc are glorifying sexual immorality and constant filth in their lyrics. This is absolutely horrible and I won't put up with it any longer.
The Bible teaches that sex should only be reserved for marriage and never outside of it, and also marriage is a bonding between man and woman. God strictly commands faithfulness and full time commitment in marriage. adultery and homosexuality are strictly forbidden for a reason. I also have a strong conviction that Christians marrying Non Christians is not wise and not encouraged because of the danger of compromise.
This album is absolutely fantastic and it goes in a different direction to his other stuff. Steven Curtis Chapman has moved forward creatively throughout the years and this album is example of this.
There are a couple of cover songs on this album including ''I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)'' which was originally performed by The Proclaimers. I am not familiar with the artist who recorded ''I'll Take Care Of You'' which is also on this album. Steven Curtis Chapman version reminds me of one of the well known films, Sleepless In Seattle.  The music is quite laid back. There are some very upbeat lively songs on this album as well and some mellow laid back songs. There are a couple of songs on this album that have been written in the past.
''I Will Be Here'' which was originally on one of his early albums ''More To This Life. ''When Love Takes You In was originally on ''Declaration'', an album Steven Curtis Chapman recorded before this album that I am reviewing now.
If you would like to know more about Steven Curtis Chapman, I would like to recommend a book that was written by his faithful and committed wife Mary Beth Chapman. It is an awesome book and it is worth a read.

Jars Of Clay: Long Fall Back To Earth

This album is a complete masterpiece, and I think it is a strong classic. The song on this album has a totally awesome sound and the music is in the style of late 80's, early 90's synth laden Pop/Indie Rock and it is done in a unique way. Tracks like ''Heaven'', Don't Stop, ''Two Hands'', and ''Forgive Me'' are examples of this, and they are very catchy and radio friendly.''Long Fall Back To Earth'' is a very creative album and I believe it is one of the strongest albums that Jars Of Clay have created. This is one of my favorite Jars Of Clay albums and I like it quite a lot. This is strong evidence that Positive Christian Entertainment has been seriously underestimated and underrated. There are a lot more top quality CCM albums than you think. The more recent Jars Of Clay album is''Inland''.

If you are a Christian and you are reading this review, can I encourage you to pray for Pet Shop Boys, OMD, Erasure, Carter USM, The Lightning Seeds, The Simple Minds and The Pretenders. The lead singer from The Pretenders in Chrissie Hynde. Please pray for their salvation and also pray that God will give them a chance to make music for God's Kingdom, God willing. Pray that God will raise up some new bands and artists that will minister in pubs and clubs and bring back the prodigals in Jesus mighty name. To the Positive bands and artists. Keep on creating awesome music for God's kingdom and give out your 100% best. God bless you.

Third Day: Move

Third Day are one of my favorite CCM Bands of the few, and I think this album is absolutely stunning. Third Day are one of the top quality Christian Bands that are out there.
This awesome and powerful album contains elements of Southern Rock with a bit of Gospel Influence in some of the songs. ''Make A Move'' is a very powerful roof raising Pub Rock song that contains some awesome guitar riffs and I believe it burns the house down. One of the most inspiring songs on this album is ''Children Of God'' which is featuring a childrens choir. ''Lift Up Your Hands is the opening track on this album and it is a very powerful, awe-inspiring roof raiser. Another song I really like is ''Follow Me There'' which contains some Gospel Influences that will completely get you  raising your hands.  This album is a real masterpiece and I believe it will inspire you to live in a way that impacts people in a positive way and I believe it encourages us to trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and redemption because he is our only hope in this hurting world.
Good news. Third Day is touring at the Big Church Day Out this year and it is very similar to Glastonbury. The Big Church Day Out is taking place at Wiston House in West Sussex on May 24th - May 25th. Here our the websites I would like to link you to.

Salvador: Dismiss The Mystery

Wow, wow, wow. What an awesome and exciting album it really is. This is one of my favorite albums in music history. I am so awestruck with the effort Salvador put into this album. It is totally lively, exuberant, colourful, creative and emotional at the same time. I think Salvador are a totally amazing Band. This album is pure evidence that  some CCM Artists are pushing the creative boat out and are stepping outside the religious box. The music on this album is a mixture of Jazz, Funk, Spanish flavoured Latin, and Rock, and the lyrics are very God inspiring and God honouring.
I believe this album truly represents God all the way through from start to finish and this is evident that Christians can and should be making a joyful noise and bursting into celebration. The songs on this album are so awesome and this is in my opinion one of the best albums I have ever heard.
One of the singles is ''Shine''.
Other recommended songs that are also amazing.

You Are So Wonderful.

Mat Kearney: Young Love

This album is absolutely brilliant, and I am so pleased with the songs that Mat kearney has written.
I have listened to this album quite a lot and it is quite addictive.  I would call this jukebox music.
This album is jam packed with some catchy summery pop songs that contain singalong choruses, and they are quite Jolly and upbeat. This album also contains some laid back songs that are also fantastic.
The singles on this album are ''Hey Mama'', Ships In The Night'', and ''Down''.
This artist is a Christian and his faith is reflected in some of his lyrics and they are all good clean songs that you can listen to while you are going about your daily life. I believe the songs on this album will go down well in pubs and they should be played on jukeboxes as well.

Group1Crew: Ordinary Dreamers

This is one of the most mindblowing, excellent, creative and diverse albums I have ever heard in my life. I believe it will get you dancing and nodding your head at the same time. This album contains songs that would fit well in disco's and nightclubs and to let you know, It is a totally fun album all the way through almost non stop. There are elements of Funk, Rock, Hip Hop and Disco on this album and I believe this is one of the most top quality albums you will ever hear and it is truly inspiring.
I believe that Christian Music has improved quite a lot over the years and I believe this kind of freshness is totally missing in popular music that is currently in the charts today. This album is going to encourage you to change the way you think about positive Christian Entertainment.

Rend Collective: The Art Of Celebration

If you are looking for out of the box worship music, I believe this is one of the albums you are searching for. The core of this album is celebration and the Bible teaches us to make a joyful noise to the Lord. This album is fun and exciting and it takes worship music to a whole new level. The sound is well up to date and I believe this album should be hitting the mainstream. This is in my opinion one of the best albums in this day and age and if you are a enjoy listening to Mumford And Sons as I do as well, Then I believe you will enjoy this album. The new single is ''My Lighthouse.''

DC Talk: Free At Last

DC Talk started out in the early 90's and have revolutionised Christian Music and brought freshness into the CCM industry. If it wasn't for this group, Christian Music wouldn't be as awesome and it wouldn't be as accessible to the younger generations as it is now. they have brought Christian Music out of the stagnant pool and have paved the way for lots of culturally relevant CCM bands and artists. They have taken so many risks to make CCM more available to people who listen to music that plays on mainstream radio.
They have endured a lot of criticism from a lot of the religious leaders who falsely accused this band for performing what they called the devil's music. I was personally quite annoyed at the comments that were posted on the internet of people who had a lot of false misconceptions about Christian Music, and what makes it worse is that some of these religious minded people misquoted the Bible concerning Christian Music. These religious leader are known in the Bible as the Pharisees. In the Bible times. The Pharisees falsely accused Jesus Christ of being friends with sinful people when Jesus actually came on Planet Earth to save sinners by dying on the cross for us and coming back to life on the 3rd day. Even worse the religious leaders deliberately accused Jesus of being of the devil, which the Bible strongly calls blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and that is a very unforgivable sin. If you are worried that you have commited this eternal sin, then chances are that you haven't committed it. We are all sinners and we all are in desperate need for Jesus to save us from eternal judgement in the Fiery pit of Hell. We all need hope and redemption from the curse of sin.
The members of DC Talk are Michael Tait, Toby Mckeehan and Kevin Max. This album ''Free At Last'' is one of the best CCM albums of the whole. This album contains elements of early 90's style Funk, Pop, Hip Hop and Rock and the songs are mindblowingly awesome.
The messages on this album are quite challenging. This album covers up topics about avoiding sexual impurity and waiting for God to bring the right person to you. This album also talks about the true meaning of love and it wakes us up to the fact that love have been misused and abused. This album also challenges up to take a stand for what is right and never tolerate sin and also we need to be using the gifts and talents to bring hope to people who are lost and without hope. Jesus is the answer to all of life's problems.

John Elefante: On My Way To The Sun

This Album is absolutely incredible, and the music is in the style of progressive rock. I think John Elefante is one of the true artists that are out there. He totally throws away the cookie cutter on this album. We need more artists like that in the music industry.
The opening song '' This Is How The Story Goes will give you 11 minutes of power driven progressive rock. It is quite rare for a Christian Artist to do a song that lasts that long but I believe this is a true example of creative excellence. I believe there are some songs on this album that should be on the Guitar Hero video games because the riffs are absolutely amazing and will in no time get you rocking on your air guitar. John Elefante's vocals is very powerful and he has the ability to sing very high notes. Normally you need voice training to sing like he does. He has a very unique voice.
This is top quality music and we need a lot more of that in the Christian music industry. What will the music industry be like if all the Bands and Artists threw away the cookie cutter and create art that is original and music that Artists cannot imitate. It would be way better and more diverse than it is now.
This album is a top quality classic and I rate it 10 out of 10. I believe this album will contribute to the pub ministries that I am praying for in this day and age.

I need to remind you that a lot of Guitar Rock Bands in the mainstream world have a false perception of God and the Church. There have been a lot of false teachers in the Church teaching that Rock, Hip Hop, and all other popular music styles are the devil's music. This false teaching has been going on for way too long and I am not putting up with it any longer. If you are buying into this heresy, then you are seriously running the risk of losing a lot of this Generation of people who are still searching for the truth. I believe the only way a lot of Non Christian Bands and Artists are going to have a more positive view of God is to get involved in taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Pubs and Clubs in a language the can understand and relate to. I pray that God will erase and blow away the faulty views concerning music styles and I hope and pray that the mainstream bands and artists will be reached through the method of Pub ministry. What would this world be like if every Band and Artist used their talents to serve and glorify our awesome God. And please stop criticising Liam and Noel Gallagher and start praying that they will be reached through Pub evangalism. I pray that Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, Kaiser Chiefs, Blur, Madness, Olly Murs and all the other Artists will be reached through this method. Come on Church of God, Wake up and start praying about the Pub Ministries and pray that God will prepare some new and up to date Bands and Artists that serve God through music to perform in Pubs and Clubs. Stop the prejudice right now and start praying.
LETS START THE HEAVENLY REVOLUTION.

Paige Armstrong: Wake Up

This album is absolutely brilliant. There are some power driven Pop/Rock songs that are full of adrenaline and few ballads but they are all brilliant. I believe a lot of the teenagers will enjoy this album. May this album inspire us to live out our God given purpose and overcome the poison of apathy and complacency. We as a generation have been sleeping for too long and I believe it is time for us to wake up to the vision that God has for us.
The youth culture is going through an identity crisis and we have lost our direction in life. There are kids and teenagers that are being bullied, exploited, abused and they are suffering from rejection.
This cannot be tolerated any longer, it has to stop right here right now. Church, we cannot afford to stay in our religious bubble any longer. The world is in desperate need for Jesus and we should be using the gifts and talents that God has given us to reach this generation for Jesus. The children are the future and we should be raising them up in Jesus and we need to let them speak and not be silent about who they are. They know what is fresh and up to date so we need to stop relying on old methods that worked well in the past but don't work anymore. We need to be taken up to a deeper level than ever before.

Rend Collective Experiment: Homemade Worship By Homemade People

If you are looking for a worship album that is fresh and original then I believe you will enjoy this album. I believe those who are into Mumford And Sons, Bastille and Arcade Fire will be surprised at the quality of the songs on this album. ''Praise Like Fireworks'' and Build your Kingdom Here will get you dancing and singing at the top of your lungs. ''You Are My Vision'' is a new and fresh reworking of the old fashioned hymn ''Be Thou My Vision'' and I believe this new version will appeal to the younger generation. Rend Collective Experiment are a celebration band who believe in community and family and most of all, Jesus Christ is the centre of everything they do as a group. The Christian faith is the most important part of their lives. You cannot separate the Worship of God from daily life, it is forbidden as far as the Bible is concerned. Worship is so much more than the songs that we sing. God is more concerned about our hearts and the good news is that everything we do can be an act of worship to God, whether it is in our homes, in our jobs and in our relationship with other people. I believe this album will inspire you to be the person that God created you to be and shine God's light in the world that is falling apart. So let us live in a way that pleases God and brings him glory. May God's awesome kingdom advance and may we come together as one.
If you are searching for fresh and innovative Worship Bands I recommend

Carleen Anderson: Soul Providence

If you are into Acid Jazz and Funk Music then I highly recommend this album. Carleen Anderson's Christian Faith shines bright on songs like ''Parting The Waters'' which is featuring Gospel/Soul Powerhouse Jocelyn Brown and ''Salvation Is Free''. Carleen has a very unique voice and it shows on this album.
''Wanna Be Where You Are'' is featuring one of the most talented and innovative songwriters and one of my favorite Mainstream Artists of all time, Paul Weller. He was the very reason I got into Carleen Anderson and they were close friends. If you are a Christian reading this album review and you enjoy listening to Paul Weller, I encourage you to pray for him and that God will bring the right people into his life to help him find God and be saved. There are some other fantastic songs on this album including ''Gotta Believe In The Future'' and ''My Door Is Open. ''Whose Business'' deals with Prejudice that has been in the church. If we are going to reach people for Jesus Christ we have got to learn to set aside our differences and quit judging other people. People are not going to get a glimpse of God if we fail to live in harmony with each other. The World is watching our every move.
Carleen Anderson used to be in a band called The Young Disciples along with Marco Nelson who is friends with Paul Weller. and keyboardist Mick Talbot Who used to be in The Style Council along with Paul Weller. If you like the Young Disciples then I recommend Out Of Eden who have been in The CCM Scene in the 90's.
Recommended Albums.
Out Of Eden: Lovin The Day.
Out Of Eden: More Than You Know.
Salvador: Dismiss The Mystery.
Salvador: Make Some Noise.
Lou Fellingham: Treasure.

Andy Mineo: Heroes For Sale

I believe you are in for a surprise, This album is truly fantastic and innovative and It is the sort of album you can listen to On your Ipod or you can purchase it on CD online or in the Christian Bookshop where I ordered a copy of this album. This album is musically diverse and fun and exciting to listen to and it is animated and cartoony in places. I believe this is the kind of music you can play in Video Gaming Arcades, Amusement Parks and Cinema's. There is a mixture of Hip Hop, Techno, Pop, and a little bit of Heavy Metal. I am a bit annoyed at a lack of Christian Entertainment on Radio One because my conviction is that the mainstream world is missing out big time. I believe this album who encourage you to think differently about positive Christian entertainment if you think that Christian Music is too under produced and not as good as the mainstream Artists you here on the radio. I totally admire his Out of the box attitude where he doesn't conform to the Hip Hop Convention and also what Christian Music should and shouldn't sound like. I think Andy Mineo is well worth supporting if you are looking for something fresh and innovative. This Album is a true quality classic and it is totally mindblowing and the sound is very Hi-Definition.
