CCM Music Reviews
I would like to recommend this album to those who enjoy listening to folk music that is more easy listening. This is the sort of album you would listen to if you are having a nice rest or if you are sitting in the garden. Welcome To The Welcome Wagon contains elements of laid back Folk music with elements of Retro Old School Pop with a melancholy feel. This album is produced by none other than Sufyan Steven's. The first time I have ever heard the name Sufyan Steven's was through a Snow Patrol song ''Hand's Open. It contains the lyrics, Put Sufyan Steven's on, and we'll play you're favorite song.I think this Welcome Wagon CD is ever so fantastic and it will take a while to grow on you.
There are some awesome Hymn like songs including ''Hail To The Lord's Anointed'', ''He Never Said A Mumblin Word'', ''But For You Who Fear My Name'', ''Jesus'', and ''Up On The Mountain''.
''Sold! To The Nice Rich Man'' is quite an upbeat song with some awesome arrangements and a highly melodic sound. I really enjoy that song quite a lot. I quite like this particular album. It is quite different to what I usually listen to but I love to have my musical horizon's broadened. I enjoy listening to folk music as well as other music styles and it is totally awesome to try out something different for a change. May God richly bless you with his grace and mercy. God's love and mercy will endure forever.
In the Past, I used to listen to a solo album that was recorded by the lead singer From Futuristic Indie/Pop Band Super Furry Animals, Gruff Rhys. The album is called Candylion. It came out in the year 2007 and it was in a Folk Pop style. My favorite song on the Candylion album used to be
''Skylon''. It is a very very long track clocking at 14 and a half minutes. Can I encourage you to pray for Gruff Rhys and pray that he will come to know Jesus as his personal savior. May God bless You.
