Paul Weller: Paul Weller

I would like to give thanks and praises to the Most High God for allowing me to review different albums at different times. I am going to do another bonus review because I am a Paul Weller fan and he has penned some fantastic songs that are uplifting and they totally put me in the right mood.
This artist is not a christian but he has befriended Carleen Anderson who is a very genuine christian woman. Carleen Anderson used to be in the Young Disciples and she also recorded some solo album.
Carleen's album ''Blessed Burden'' contains some songs that have been co written with Paul Weller.
Another Carleen Anderson album ''Soul Providence'' contains a song that is featuring Paul Weller.
The song is called ''Wanna Be Where You Are''. Fantastic song. I encourage you to check it out.

Paul Weller's first solo album contains some songs that were written out of experience of searching and wrestling with doubt. ''I Never Meant To Hurt You'' was written for ex style council member who used to be his wife, Dee C Lee. This song is very genuine and honest and it is worth a listen.
One of my favorite songs on this album is Bull Rush, I believe it is one of the true Paul Weller classics. This album takes me well back to when I was a little child and I was at Hillmorton First School back then. I was 6 years old when this album came out. ''Above The Clouds is such a brilliant song and it contains some honest lyrics. ''Into Tomorrow'' is one of the singles on this album and I still enjoy it quite a lot. This deluxe edition has got a lot of extra songs and it has 2 discs.

I am going to review a Paul Weller song that also appears on this deluxe edition and it is also on the
''Fly On The Wall'' CD. The song is called ''Here's A New Thing''. This is one of the most uplifting songs Paul Weller has ever done and it was penned after the Style Council Years. The lyrics are awesome and it encourages and inspires us to let go of the past and press on to what is new.
''Here's A New Thing'' is well worth a listen. The Bible teaches us that God is always doing a new thing in our lives as we let go of what is behind us. I totally recommend ''Promised Land'' by The Style Council. That song is absolutely brilliant and the lyrics are ever so uplifting and edifyable to the soul. I would like to encourage you to go to Revelation chapter 21 in the Bible.
I pray that God will use this Style Council song in a powerful way to inspire other christians to celebrate and rejoice in the fact that God is preparing them a place where there will be no more tears.
Church Of God, let us celebrate the fact that God will return to take us home to be with him forever.
Let us all speak freedom to those who are still searching and who are in desperate need for hope.

If you are still searching and wrestling with doubt, guess what, there is hope for you. Jesus came to this planet as a child in a manger and he had a mission from God to save all of us from the wrong things we have done. Jesus Christ is our only hope and he is the only person who can save us from ourselves and deliver us from eternal punishment in Hell. God loves you with an everlasting love inspite of the countless number of wrong choices you have made. None of us are exempt from sin. We all need deliverence from sin and the self centredness that plagues our hearts. God came so that we can live life to the fullest. God is more exciting and more mindblowing than you think he is.
My faith in Jesus is so important to me and I cannot function without it.
May God bless you forevermore.

If you like Ocean Colour Scene, which I do as well. I would like to recommend one of their recent songs that was written last year. It is on their recent album ''Painting'' and it is also on Steve Cradock's recent solo album ''Travel Wild Travel Free. The song is called ''Doodle Book''. That song is absolutely brilliant. It is quite upbeat and the lyrics are more uplifting. ''Doodle Book'', is one of the most positive songs by Ocean Colour Scene. A true example of great songwriting. To let you know, Steve Cradock is the guitarist from Ocean Colour Scene and he is also in Paul Weller's backing band.
I would like to recommend another Paul Weller song and it is on the album ''Illumination''.
''Standing Out In The Universe''. One of the best songs that Paul Weller has written and mostly, it is very positive and uplifting from start to finish. It is quite a powerful song and it features background vocals by Carleen Anderson and Jocelyn Brown.

Recommended albums by Carleen Anderson.
Blessed Burden.
Soul Providence.

Recommended album by Jocelyn Brown.
True Praises.

True Praises features collaborations from British Rap artist Guvna B and Lead singer from Phatfish, and Worship Leader Lou Fellingham. It is truly recommended. I encourage you to check out Phatfish.
They are an awesome band with a very unique Pop/Rock sound. Their earlier stuff is in the style of
Acid Jazz/Funk. Another Band I would like to recommend and they are one of the most popular bands in the Christian Music Scene, Delirious.

Recommended Delirious songs.
History Maker.

Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble.
Rain Down.
My Glorious.

I found this comment about Carleen Anderson on youtube:

"I found Carleen Anderson thru the The Young Disciples but later found she is the daughter of the great Vickie Anderson and step-daughter of the great Bobby Byrd. Both of them worked with this guy named James Brown. Talk about some funky roots!!!"

Now James Brown - there is a name and a whole load of heritage!
