UB40: Tyler.

Hello again, i am going to do a one song review once again and the UB40 song ''Tyler'' is one the first album ''Signing Off'' which came out in the year 1980. I was brought up on UB40 when i was little and thankfully, i still like their music.

''Tyler'' is a song that talks about an African American man whose name is Gary Tyler and he was falsely accused of the murder of a white boy by racist white judges. The corrupt authorities wrongly accused him based on his racial background
The murder happened on a school bus that was filled with African American high school students, and this took place in Louisiana, America during an attack by a racist white mob. Gary Tyler was falsely accused of a crime he did not commit and he was innocent. The UB40 song ''Tyler'' explains that Gary Tyler has been imprisoned for 5 years and the authorities won't let him go. This is total injustice and i think the trial was so unfair and it seems to me like there is quite a lot of racism going on. I hate racial prejudice so much and i totally believe Gary Tyler should go free.

If you would like to know more about Gary Tyler, You can go on google and look up ''Free Gary Tyler'' for more information since i cannot explain it very well. I can only do the best i can on this blog and i pray that God will use this special review in a powerful way to contribute to Gary Tyler's freedom. Can i encourage you to pray that Gary Tyler will be released from false imprisonment cos this cannot go on. This has gone on for too long and it should stop right now. Gary Tyler is a very innocent man so please pray for him.
May God bless you all.

This one song review can be used for Christian purposes.

Have you listened to this UB40 song?

Really good and loads going on, but never losing the march to the end. It reminds me of life. You go through life and all sorts of things are happening around you. Some things are good and some things are bad, but we learn from them all and hopefully take the good and grow, and see the bad for what it is, and avoid.

Don't really get the lyrics though. Sounds like someone stuck in a bad relationship, or dreaming that they are in a relationship that is no more, maybe? It is quite haunting, I feel.

Is this on the Singing Off album? It was released at a time when social normals were being destroyed by a capitalist government. A country that looked after the vulnerable became a money and status driven society that encouraged people to just look after themselves. That was the 1980's. I think we are a little bit better today, but still have a long way to go.

Great review though and I think a lot of people who listen to it will be taken back to those bad days when prejudice was so common in our "modern" society.
